2023 Community Impact Report

The Community Impact Report (CIR) is an annual publication that showcases Montecito Bank & Trust’s milestones, community contributions, and associate achievements.

Project Objective

Originate the front and back cover for the 2023 Community Impact Report highlighting the bank's involvement in the community.

Inspiration

Browsing Adobe Stock, I found inspiration in the layered paper-cut style illustrations that create a striking illusion of depth.

To bring the bank’s motto “Behind every great community is a great bank” to life on the cover, I illustrated on Adobe Illustrator the four pillars of a thriving community: Arts & Culture, Health & Medical, Social Services, and Youth & Education.

Execution

I utilized bits and pieces of downloaded illustrations and adjusted the colors to align with the brand colors

To imitate the depth illusion, I added drop shadows and strategically overlapped the elements.

I used Adobe Illustrator's Pathfinder tool to subtract each number of "2023" to achieve the cut-out look
